The week in picture
Monday...
We went into the city for the first time by BUS from Cambourne, with a friend and her son who's one month older than Tobey. We visited a nice park which houses a nice playground and a lake with swans and ducks.Went for lunch after that ...The kids enjoyed plastering their faces on the window of the buses to do some car/truck/bicycle spotting
Tuesday...
house work and rest day
Wednesday...
There are several playgrounds in Cambourne. This has to be one of the better one.
Thursday...
The weather was once again glorious. The playgroup extended outdoors..there were water play, ginger bread icing, drawing....wish it's Spring all year round!

First sign of Spring
There was also a group of all Chinese students playing football. Tobey ran to them whilst screaming "Ball"! I guess he wanted to join in. Later on, a kind student of African origin threw a ball to Tobey and ask him to kick. He actually did kick it back to him. Scary how easily toddlers can befriend another.
I recently met a new friend Jane, who moved into my village last month. Her husband works in Cambridge University, and according to her, there are so many Malaysians there, both studying AND working for the uni. Now, if only there's a Malaysian Society here...
Here's a video of Tobey in action (excuse my voice, I realised that I sound as if I have a permanent blocked nose in videos or other recordings. It definitely doesn't sound like that in my ear when I am speaking. No wonder others always go quiet after I sing a karaoke song. Poor them.)

Lego
My mom bought Tobey a huge tub of Legos on her last visit here. When my parents were here, he was too excited to sit down and explore it. They flew back last weekend. Since then, he has been playing with it alot. Best of all, he was concentrating for long periods of time. Me and SK would sit down with him and built houses (me), cars, airplanes, monsters(SK) and simply a great big wall.
Today I built a house with a window, Tobey spent quite some time just throwing in loose lego bricks through the little window and retrieving them by shaking it off the house. Then SK put wheels on the house and told Tobey that "it's a caravan!". It's all good fun.
It was a wise toy choice on my mother's part. We plan to get him more lego bricks so that he can build more than one car at one time :)
