10 months old

10 months ago, this little tyrant/angel came and brought a hurricane of changes to both our lives. Can't believe we managed so far. The vast amount of changes has made it felt like 20 months rather than 10. Having said that, the speed at which he is growing up makes us wish for the ability to freeze time.
His personality is starting to form and show alot lately. I would say that his good point would be that he is a very determine, focused and curious little boy. His "quest" to learn has brought alot of amusement to us most of the time. But at other times, we felt like pulling our hair out!!! For example, he likes to channel surf when we are watching tele. When we hide the remote, he would go for the actual buttons on our ancient tv...grrrr...most times he just switches the tele off when we pay too much attention to it.

So here's wht SK did

"you can't press what you can't see" were his words...and it worked! He stopped interrupting our devotion to the old box right after that.

He is also unfortunely tremendously bad tempered and impatient as well (like mummy). He would show his dissatisfaction when he's not given what he wanted...normally the camera, the laptop, the sharp scissors, the bottle of lotion...whatever that has danger written all over it. Like this morning, he was unsually grumpy and he wanted to rub his grubby hand all over my camera. When met with a NO, here's what I got..

Sigh! I guess we'll just have to give him lots of 'you-can't-always-get-what-you-want' kinda speech when he's older.

Enough of complaining. Today is one of those tiring days.

On a lighter note, I'll be able to bring Tobey out more often soon (if I pass my UK driving test, if not, I'll have to retake again and again and again until I do as it's absolutely essential as Tobey grows older. Think Mum n Tod groups, swimming, to the clinics, darn! I HAVE to pass this test *immense pressure*) as we've got ourselves a cool secondhand car for me to chauffer him around when SK is at work!!!

Here's my son taking the wheel frame as a steering, at the dealers. Pics of car will come soon :P

I hope this is just a phase that they are going through. Can't wait till he can fully converse with me, so that I can explain why he can't have that scissors or that bowl of hot curry noodle :P
