Other than the major historical sites, I found the city really loud. There's Gaudi to refine the building architecture of Barcelona, hence the fluidity of that city, which is absent in Rome. To make up for it , the people are really friendly and kind. Many times, we almost missed getting off the metro as the doors were closing, but there's always a fellow Roman that put his hand out to stop the doors from closing! One would think that after having to accomodate so many tourists in their hometown, they would have found it easier to ignore them. In my books, this kindness superceeds ten Gaudis.
I am officially done with Europe, until I have to do it all over again... with my child in the future.
